Jonathan Blackburn

Jonathan Blackburn is an experienced tourism and business lecturer with substantial practice in both the public and private spheres of education, further including exam writing for a prestigious tourism and hospitality course provider, and writing course books for one of the worlds leading providers of business and law materials.
He graduated from the University of Sunderland with a BSc (Hons) in Tourism Development Studies.
Jonathan currently furthering his research studies with an ‘MPhil’ in tourism from Sunderland University leading to a PhD.
He is a member of various professional organisations, including the tourism society. Jonathan also attended numerous lectures concerning contemporary developments in the tourism sector.
He has extensive experience for blue chip organisations in the commercial sector of tourism and hospitality, including employment abroad, predominantly in France and Spain, and experience of working in marketing in this sector, most notably for Marriott Hotels and The Leisure Pass Group (London Pass).
Jonathan is a lecturer for the Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management Programme (which is validated and awarded by the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality) as well as Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (which is validated and awarded by BTEC Edexcel – through RDI and leading to University of Wales MBA programme).
