Business Computing
This module provides students with a basic understanding of the use of Information Technology in a business context through some common applications.
Summary of Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module students will be able to;

Use computer software for a variety of purposes within a business context in the tourism and hospitality industries

Show basic word-processing skills

Assessment
Summative assessment (examination) – This is a two and a half hour practical examination set and marked by CTH.
It comprises of four compulsory questions. The four questions cover the four software applications identified in the syllabus. Each question is worth 25 marks.
Candidates will complete this examination on a computer at their study centre as notified by CTH.
The computer must have the software required to complete each of the compulsory questions
